Why we started Avion

There's a strange disconnect in the world of software. The industries that build our homes, fix our plumbing, maintain our rental properties, and keep our infrastructure running are some of the least well-served by modern technology.

Contractors spend their evenings writing invoices instead of resting after a day of physical labor. Landlords miss deductions they were entitled to because the available software was designed for enterprise property managers, not someone with three rental units. Small business owners in these trades are stuck choosing between tools that are too simple to be useful and platforms that are too complex to be practical.

The gap we saw

When we looked at the field service and property management software landscape, we saw the same pattern everywhere: tools built by people who had never stood on a rooftop, never chased a late rent payment, never tried to schedule three crews across twelve job sites on a Tuesday morning.

The result is software that creates more work, not less. More screens to click through. More data entry. More time spent in front of a computer instead of doing the actual job.

Our approach

We started Avion Technologies with a rule: every feature must answer "yes" to a simple question — does this save the user time or money?

That rule led us to build two products:

What comes next

We're just getting started. There's an enormous amount of work to do in making these industries more efficient, more profitable, and less stressful for the people who choose them as their livelihood.

If that mission resonates with you — as a user, a partner, or a potential team member — we'd love to hear from you.
